Energy efficiency is enhanced as the slow cooker brulee cooks at a very low wattage (as low as 40 Watts) and the long cooking process will tenderise even the cheapest cuts of meat. Slow oxidizers tend to rely on caffeine to keep them going during the day, but should really limit intake. The protein in the diet should be low purine - light meats, fish, seafood and some nuts. Low fat dairy works well. Since the diet is heavy on the carbs it is important to focus on good carbs that are lower on the glycemic index. To find your right balance start by eliminating carbs for a few days. You may feel sluggish, tired, and grumpy right away. Add back in the starchy vegetables if that makes you feel better add back some grains once you get too many carbs the tired symptoms will reappear. In a large bowl combine the barbecue sauce, vinegar, honey, ginger, and the other half of the cumin. Add the meat and toss gently to coat thoroughly. Fill each bun with approximately 1/3 cup of the creme brulee decorations and about a tablespoon of the onions.
